Emer co-founded an Irish Women’s Artists and Performers Collective called Banshee in 1997. Through an Internet site (WWW.banshee.info) and performances throughout the USA, the artists have been able to reach a large audience and promote their work. The group has been featured in numerous press, radio, and TV interviews and features. The BBC made a documentary about Banshee aired in 1999.
